This has provided <strong>AXPE Consulting<\/strong> with the opportunity to contribute through highly specialized technical expertise. From tumor tissue segmentation in medical imaging to <strong>Alzheimer\u2019s detection<\/strong> using accelerometer data, the <strong>Data &amp; AI Cluster<\/strong> is developing various predictive modeling tools for the industry.<\/p><p>In collaboration with the <strong>University of Cantabria<\/strong>, we are developing an algorithm to predict the stage of <strong>Alzheimer\u2019s disease<\/strong> in patients. The process begins with <strong>collecting temporal <\/strong>movement data from a <strong>smartphone\u2019s accelerometer<\/strong> using an application developed by the university. This data undergoes preprocessing to standardize sequence length and time intervals between samples. The processed data is then fed into a convolutional neural network, which predicts the <strong>disease stage\u2014early, middle, or late<\/strong>.
