AXPE Consulting is looking for more than 50 technology workers for its Cantabria branch
The technology sector in Cantabria continues to show clear signs of dynamism and growth. Companies themselves often point out that, in fact, the challenge of finding staff is one of the main obstacles to implementing their development plans.
AXPE Consulting, headquartered in Madrid but which has seen a notable increase in its structure in Cantabria, is no exception to the trends in the ICT industry and is currently immersed in a clear commitment to expansion. As a result, the company has more than 50 vacancies open for its branch in the region, and expects to start 2026 with more than 200 people on its staff.
According to the organisation, it currently has various projects underway, all of them at the national level, both for the Government of Cantabria and for other territories, which require the incorporation of new professionals for the development centre currently located in Maliaño.

employees
were employed by the company in Maliaño in 2022, demonstrating its expansion.
Among the profiles AXPE is looking for are junior workers with training in Java (backend) and Angular (frontend), as well as Oracle databases. These are not the only positions available, as there are also other openings for profiles with more experience in these technologies.
For several years now, the company has had a clear strategy of focusing on niches within the technology sector that require a high degree of specialisation and, therefore, added value. The coveted “blue ocean” that many companies pursue, where others cannot reach, and which is consequently reflected in profit margins and final annual EBITDA.
Not only that, but AXPE also took other important decisions in the ICT field some time ago. In a sector whose dynamism is concentrated in the major capitals, with Madrid as the epicentre, the battle for talent is fierce, with extremely high turnover. That is why the company also opted for peripheral offices where it could more effectively retain valuable professionals.
With a client portfolio that includes practically the entire IBEX-35, the Cantabria development centre has grown from 100 to 167 employees in just three years, with its sights now set on clearly exceeding 200.
Change of headquarters
The company has been considering a move for years in order to accommodate its booming structure. Initially, it explored the option of the Science and Technology Park (Pctcan), although the lack of space and the time still needed to promote the expansion of the site have ruled out this option for now.
However, AXPE has found new offices in Santander, on Calle Río Danubio, from where it will begin operating on 1 February. In fact, it is expected to begin the various procedures for the move in the coming days, as well as preparations to fit out the new facilities, which are close to where other regional technology companies are already located.
The Group has various divisions depending on the business, covering different areas such as cloud computing, advanced analytics, data and artificial intelligence, devops (integration systems), user experience and digital marketing, among others.
